Classical Practicum

Kindergarten - 8th Grade

This is where we get Classical education up on it’s feet. Our Practicum program is 100% hands-on and project based. Our learners get the opportunity to explore history through projects in the fields of art, music, science, entrepreneurship, writing, and even PE. Classical Practicum is offered on Mondays.

Integrates with Core Content

One of the special things about our program is that all of the classes work together. If the learners are working on the invention of the Gutenberg Press, in Music they are reviewing the first music printed, in entrepreneurship they are setting up a printing shop, in art they are carving stamps that can be transferred many times, and in science they may be making ink. This not only supports our core program but enables our practicum learners to gain a depth of practical knowledge that supports their learning.

Gentle Rigor

With our focus on practical hands-on applications of knowledge we are able to explore more challenging concepts and topics in a way that is accessible and interesting to every age and stage. This gentle and fun approach allows us to expose our learners to rigorous academic content.

Hands-on and Project Based

Our Practicum program is designed to engage and enrich the learning of every single child. Every type of learner is able to access and enjoy this program.

Meaningful Activities

When our work has a purpose and meaning that we can see, it is much easier to complete and invest in. We pride ourselves on creating projects that teach our learners applicable life skills. Even ending our year with a Maker Faire where all of our learners sell their creations.
